More Common Types of Reciprocating Saw Blades

Hi! This is Jon on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip I’ll be talking more about reciprocating saw blades. If you take a look at these two blades, you’ll notice that they are exactly the same except for the length. Some applications will require you to have a longer blade or a little bit shorter blade, so when you buy blades they come in many different lengths as well. If you take a look at this blade, you’ll notice that it says 18TPI or 18 teeth per inch. Right below that it says bi-metal, and to the left of that it shows a picture of an I-beam with the word metal on it. This particular blade is primarily used for cutting metal. When buying blades you want to make sure you are buying the correct blade for the application you’re going to be using it for.
