Hi, I'm Bobby Larew. I'm talking about diving. We just worked on how to do front dives, layout, pike, front dive tuck. Now we're talking about actually entering the water. I know there's so much that goes into diving, but all of it's important. All of it is going to work into your score, all of it the judges are looking at to make sure you're doing right. But probably the most important, I'm going to say it's definitely the most important, is how you enter the water because it's the last thing that a judge sees. If a judge sees a lot of splashing, if you're over, if you're short, not vertical, they're going to remember that when you do your dive, they're really not going to remember the beginning. So how do we make a good entry? What's that going to look like? There's actually two different types of front entries. The first is what they call a head first entry. Obviously, a head first entry is when your hands are above your head, your head hits the water and your feet are the last thing that you see. The second type of front first entry is a feet first entry. Obviously in a feet first your feet hit the water first, followed by your legs, your waist, your body and finally your head. So those are two types of entries. We're going to focus on the head first entry.
