Paintball Gun Hoppers

Hi. Robert Stewart here with hill13.com. The next thing we're going to talk about is hoppers. Now in terms of style there are several different varieties you can go with. And that's basically an aesthetic thing. The big thing is, is that the cap is really good and secure so you don't lose your paint. This particular hopper here is for a vertical or drop feed and as you can tell it just goes straight into the weapon. As we talked about earlier, these are notorious sometimes for jamming up a bunch of balls right at the opening and causing you not to be able to feed paint where you have to invert the weapon and shake it to get the paint loosened back up. Now on an elbow or vertical feed now a lot of, this is an Extreme Rage 9 volt electric hopper, and it actually has settings so that you can adjust the speed and it has a funnel inside of it that turns that actually draws the balls down. So that keeps it from hanging up. The next type of hopper that we're going to look at is the type of hopper that goes on top of a cyclone system. And this is the new Low Profile hopper for the X7. And, again, you want to make sure that the cap and the spring for the cap are all good. And this one, as you can tell, has a much wider throat. So the bulk of the paint sits right over the cyclone feed so that when you fire it's constantly delivering paint to the inside of the weapon.
