Hi, my name is Jared and today we are going to talk about tuning the guitar. Our first string that we are going to tune is the E string. When we look at our tuner, what we want to do is get it dead in the center so it lights right up to the green light. As you can see my tuner is going directly to the green light showing, E in tune. We move up to the B string and we are going to do the same exact thing. I am just a little bit sharp on the B string so I want to loosen it up. There we go, now I am exactly on the green. We go to the G string and try the same thing. G is just little bit sharp, loosen it just slightly and we are exactly on the green string. In order to loosen the strings we want to make sure that we go ahead and twist away, to tighten, you want to make you sure you pull in towards. We go to the D string, now I am exactly on the green light. You want to always make sure you are always exactly in the middle. And the A, it’s just slightly sharp. Loosen it up there we go, right on the green. And for the E, right on the green and that’s how to use an electronic tuner.
Yes, 2 octaves apart.
is there two "E" strings on the guitar?
