Not enough theory explanation. Should explain the basic formula for a pentatonic scale as he does it on the guitar. This is too monkey see monkey do!

Guitar Pentatonic Scale

Hi my name is Jared North and today we are going to be talking about constructing the pentatonic scale in the key of A. How we do this is we count up the frets, up to the fifth fret on the sixth string, the E string. When we get to the fifth fret, that’s know as the note A. The easy way to think about this is if we number our hand one, two, three, four. If I go one, two, one, three, one, three, one, three, one, one, four, one, four. How that sounds a little bit faster. That’s going to be a pentatonic blues scale.
