Basic Mambo Dancing Turns
On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Susan and this is Alex. This is Salsa Mia at Yuka Lounge on South Beach in Miami, Florida. We’re here today to teach you mambo. Alright, so now we’re going to start working on our turns okay. The first one we’re going to do is a turn that you can start doing when you dance by yourself. Okay. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to start from our first basic, forward and back. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, turn, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 5, let’s turn again, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. So make sure you always turn on the 2. 1, 2, 3, to the right, 5, 6, 7. So men make sure ladies every time you’re turning you use your shoulders. Do not use your legs. Make sure every time you go forward, you use your shoulders for rotation. Okay. Let’s do that one more time right into the turn. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7.
