Cut Out Tangram Puzzles

In this clip we're going to deal with another tricky puzzle type, it's a big block with something cut out of the middle. Here is the sample puzzle we're going to do for the cut out tricky puzzle type. There is two little shapes in the center that don't really look like anything else. They kind of look like two small triangles, but the points don't touch in the middle so it can't be that. Let's go ahead and place those big triangles first. That's usually where you want to start in a puzzle like this. Ok, so now we have two sides to fill in with the other five pieces. Go ahead and take your medium triangle and your parallelogram and put them together in a pedestal-like shape. Put the side of the medium triangle against the longest side of the parallelogram and place them in one of the gaps. Ok now go ahead and take your square and your two little triangles and do the exact same shape. So you're going to want your square in the middle and your two little triangles on the outside. Place that in the gap. We've completed the shape. I guess it wasn't that hard after all even if it was a little bit daunting in the beginning.
