Making Your Own Tangrams

Although, you can go by Tangrams sets out there. It's easier to just make one at first. The materials you'll need for this video are one eight and a half by eleven sheet of paper and some scissors. That's it. Take your sheet of paper and fold over one corner, so it touches the other side of the paper. Now, you have some paper left over. You'll want to trim that remainder off. Now, you have a perfect square. Take your square and cut along the crease line. Set one of those triangles aside, you'll need it later. Take the triangle and fold it in half making a sharp crease. Now, cut along that crease line. These are your two big triangles. You're done with those, so put them aside. With your other triangle, fold the tip into the hypotenuse. Make a sharp crease there and go ahead and cut it. The tip that you just cut off is now your medium triangle. You can put that aside too. Fold over one of your tips to make a small right triangle. Make a sharp crease and cut it off. Next, fold that part over again to make a small square. Make a sharp crease and cut that off as well. Fold over one of the corners completely. Make a sharp crease and cut that off. Now, you have all seven shapes of your Tangram.
