Half-Time Shuffle Pattern with Toms
The next idea is one I first saw the drummer Zorro do, is the idea of taking the shuffle pattern and moving it to the Toms. And here's what it can sound like in context. So, I dropped my stick there, had I not done that, that's pretty much the way I learned this. Which is you can move the upbeats or the down beats, whichever you want, over to the Toms. See I was playing, if I was right handed and played on this drum set like a traditional drummer, I'd be able to do this much easier. Just by rotating my wrist, because I?m a lefty, I have to modify it a little. But it can still be done both ways.
