Half-Time Shuffle with Bass Drum on 4 Pattern
Another basic half-time feel pattern, this time we'll add a little bit more bass drum on the fourth quarter note and it'll sound like this. And here it is, with the high hat, playing a shuffle. So, when we look at these, we want to remember that really, the basis of the half-time is based on that: one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four. I don't even have to play anything else, I can just count to four, and play my snare drum on three and it feels slow. It feels like it's only half as fast which is where the half-time feel comes from. Now, we'll start to add in a few more notes and that three is really what it's all based around.
