Adding Aroma Hops to Home Brewed Beer

This is JB with Austin Home Brew Supply. We’re going to pick back up on our brewing process. We’re making an extract beer today. We’ve already added the bittering hop addition and the flavor hop addition. Now, comes the aromatic qualities, so aroma hop addition. Boil them just a little bit, it’s going to retain the beautiful aroma of these hops, because they really are very very…They’re not only flavorful they have beautiful aroma. So, this would be the aroma hop addition. I still have half an ounce of my optimum hops that I so accurately measured earlier. We’ll just dump those in, so that’s all the optimum hops. Then the last bit…. that smells really good…and here is the Amarillo hops. This will conclude the hop additions. Even a bee came over to check them out. That’s it on the hops. This is the pretty hoppy recipe. You saw I put a lot of hops into it. That does it for the hops. In five minutes this is going to be done, we’re going to chill it down, and we’re going to get it into the primary fermenter. It’s just that easy and that wraps up this segment.
