I work with Billy at Bantam Boxing. He is an incredible coach, trainer, teacher, and mentor. His experience enables him to answer any question and coach a boxer to his best potential. These videos, which are excellent, are typical Billy work. He's the best I've ever worked with.

Equipment & Supplies for a Boxing Gym

In this segment we're going to be talking about the miscellaneous boxing equipment, not the major stuff that you normally wound find in the gym as requirements, such as the boxing ring, and the heavy bags, and the speed bags. But, today we're going to be dealing with a lot of the individual, miscellaneous equipment. And, we're going to be talking about everything from the actual heavy bag gloves, used on the heavy bags, to sparring gloves. We'll talk about the differences and why one should be used for sparring and why one should only be used on the heavy bag. We're going to be covering the different types of head gears. There's sparring head gears and then there's competition head gears, and the two cannot be mixed there either. We're also going to be talking about the different kinds of mitts. So, we work on the focus mitts. There's a coach's mitt that's used to actual punch the boxer back if he leaves his hands down. There are smaller micro mitts. We're also going to be talking a little bit about punch shields, some ab rollers, and we're going to get into a little bit more detail about the mouth pieces. Make sure they're form fitted; the difference between the youth mouth piece and the adult mouth piece. So, as we go along, we'll be doing a little bit more detail on each one of these things.
