Instead of using a foundation, you can use a tinted moisturizer. They tend to be much lighter than foundation.

Any kind of light oil free facial moisturizer with a light SPF for sun protection is always good to start with!

Hi!
One of the best things you can do is keep your skin smooth and hydrated.
At night you can mix sugar with some light oil like olive oil and gently scrub the skin then rinse well and pat dry. The sugar removes the dry dead skin that makes foundation flake and the oil moisturizes.
In the morning if the skin still feels dry put on a facial lotion and allow it to dry, then put on the foundation.
So, the next thing we are going to do now that we have primed her face with foundation primer, is we're going to apply some liquid foundation. I'm just going to test the color, so we're going to do a stripe from cheek to jaw, and the makeup should really just melt right into your skin. You shouldn't see any line of demarcation. Right along here it should just blend really easily, you should never have to work hard to blend your makeup. If you feel you have to really rub and rub to get it to go into the skin it's probably not the right color. We're just going to take a little bit of this and we're going to use my foundation brush, put a little bit of the foundation on my brush, and just go over her face using soft strokes. I like to use a brush to apply the foundation because it gives a much more blended look, you actually end up using a lot less product versus say if you were using a sponge to apply your foundation, sponges have more of a tendency to absorb a lot of the foundation, so you end up actually wasting a lot of your makeup as well. We can get a lot better coverage, it looks a lot more natural, and it gives a lighter look to the skin as well. You will also in turn end up using a lot less foundation as well. So that is how you will want to apply your foundation.
