Let's take a look at another style of acoustic electric guitar with a dreadnought body that has a special feature. This is a higher end guitar that features a microphone and a contact pickup under the bridge similarly to the instrument I just showed, however, this guitar features a cutaway that allows the player access to the upper frets where it's very difficult to play in a conventional instrument lacking the cutaway. This instrument features an electronics panel that controls the sound from both microphones, and equalization, bass and treble, can be adjusted to suit the players' needs. The sound is then routed out through the end pin jack to your cable which goes to your amplifier, to provide amplification for your audience. This compartment houses a battery for the electronics that are in this guitar. This guitar features all solid woods; there are no plywoods or laminate woods used in the construction of this instrument. This is a higher quality guitar, a full size, dreadnought body, cutaway acoustic electric.
