Jazz Box Guitar Tips

Now let's take a look at another style of acoustic electric guitar. This is what's commonly known as a Jazz Box or full size body. As you can see, the body is much thicker than the one that was presented as a thin line, or thin body guitar. Fit and finish on these, like all instruments, can vary wildly as far as the decorative trim and decorative inlays in the neck. However, as with most guitars of this genre, we have two pickups, we have two volume controls and two tone controls, and a selector switch which selects either the neck or the bridge or both pickups. That sound is then routed out through the jack and a cable to the amplifier to amplify the tone so that your audience can hear what you're doing. However, this guitar has a fairly substantial sound on its' own, for just playing without any kind of amplification. This is also known as a Jazz Box. This is a full size, thick body, acoustic jazz guitar.
