Let's take a look at the violin. This is a standard violin. Again, like most in our store, are suitable for student and intermediate players. Violins, however, come in several sizes to match the actual physical size of the player because they have to be able to reach appropriately on the neck in order to play it. The instrument is played with a bow that's drawn across the middle of the strings here in order to produce a tone, and the fingers obviously have to press down on the strings. The sizes of the violins range from the 16th all the way up to full size which is 4/4.
