Now let's take a look at the tenor saxophone. The tenor saxophone is considerably larger than the alto saxophone and produces a deeper tone. Like the other sax, it is played by having a mouthpiece put on the neck that holds a reed. The player controls the pitch of the reed by controlling the tension on their lips and how they blow into it. Additionally, by operating the buttons to control levers, they control pads opening and closing, the pitch of the saxophone is changed, also that can change the tone to some degree with a more experienced player. The tenor saxophone is considerably heavier and is usually not played by beginning people unless they're more adult sized. The sax produces a nice mellow tone and is ideal for jazz, it's used extensively for that.
