Punch Recording in Pro Tools

Now, punch record is basically allowing you to start recording whenever you feel like it as you punch it in. You can also do it automatically for certain bars. But, what I'm going to show you is how to play it and start recording as soon as whenever you feel that want to record. So, for example somebody messes up on a verse or something like that. You want him to come in half way through. What you can do, is you can play the verse and let it play. So, as it's playing it's just going to go along the song. And, you can just play. And, then once you hit the record button it will start recording. You can do this by pressing control and the record button. It's going to change it, until it goes to a P. Once it's on the P, that means you can press play and the record button will be ready for whenever you want it to record. So, as soon as you feel that you want him to start coming in just press record. And, it will start recording.
