Pro Tools Compression Tips

Now on my track that I have in front of me, the second loop of drums is kind of quiet. It's sample drums I chopped up and replayed over and over again. So what I'm going to do is I?m going to add some percussion to this. I'm going to go into my inserts and I'm going to add the bomb factory BF76, definitely one of my favorite compressors. Turn up the ratio, and I'm going to play just this track by itself just to see how it's going to sound with the compression. Once I got a setting I like, I'm going to take off the solo and play it with the rest of the track and try to set it in.
