this told me nothing about "caring" for petunias. Only how to dig them up when they are finished. She metions putting them back next spring but not what to do with them in the mean time. More info please!

How to Care for Petunias

These petunia were planted early this spring, and gave us a good four month show. But now that it’s summer time they’re through with their little period. Being an annual, these will not come back again. So what we’re going to do is we’re just going to remove them. We’re gonna leave the hole because we’re going to put something else in it. So we’re just gonna lift up, shake the dirt loose, and remove these. Next spring, we may choose to put these back in, but for right now they’re done for the year. So we’re just going to remove these petunias, but we’re going to leave the little hole that we’ve got here because we’re going to put something back into it.
