Cutting the Sides of Two Toned Ponchos
Now I'm going to demonstrate how to weave in a decorative border around our no sew, fleece poncho. You'll need four coordinating colored strips of fleece fabric, forty inches by one inch. Okay, to weave in the trim, first we're going to fold up one side of our, our fleece poncho. And fold that up three inches. Just fold it up and measure to three inches along a few spots to make sure that it is three inches all the way along. And then we'll start cutting slits three inches from the edge. And just take your scissor, nice, sharp scissor, and cut a quarter inch slice into the fabric and you'll end up with a hole like this. It's about a half inch hole. And make these slits about one and a half inch away from each other, going all the way down the edge of the poncho. This is what we'll use to weave our coordinating fabric into. You don't have to be so precise about how wide they are. If you want them closer, you can do them closer. If you want them wider, you can do them wider. One and a half inch seams to be a good distance. And continue that all the way down the edge of one side. And then stop three inches from the edge.
