Next we're going to cut the holes in our poncho. So you take your poncho, we've marked where we want our three flowers, and you do the same thing, you hold the fabric together. Pinch it, make sure that the two layers of fabric are nice and close together and you're going to cut slits the same distance you did on the flowers, same size and same distance, like this. Now take your yellow fabric or your center fabric, now for the flowers you might want to decide, on one side the center is going to be flat, you'll only see a flat center, on the other side you're going to see a knot. So you want to decide ahead of time whether you want the knot to be on one side or the other, which one you prefer. So we'll start by pushing our center colored fabric, our yellow, through the two slits like this and it looks like that on the other side. This is the right side of the fabric. It's coming up through the right side of the fabric. This is the felt side of the fabric here. Now I'm going to go underneath and find our slits. There are our slits. And push the yellow through the slits like that and again through the other slit. Now sometimes if you have difficulty pushing it with your fingers you could take the closed scissors and just give it a little shove in there or a pencil with an eraser on the bottom you just poke that in there and that's what our flower looks like on one side. Now you've got your two strips sticking out and again you poke the yellow or the center color through the flower and then make that same square knot right over left and then left over right and pull that tight. Now at this point you can trim to the length that you want and if you want you can take that and cut it down the center to give it another like a little bit more flower looking center and there's our finished flower. Here's our completed reversible fleecy poncho and I'll just show you the reverse side. There you go.
