Using Full-Length Mirrors in a Boxing Gym

One of the other staples for every boxing gym, is to have the full length mirrors. Not only are the head target mirrors good, but having a full length mirror is also one of the best things for boxing. We have an assortment here. The best thing about a mirror is, you can actually see what you're doing of course. So, as you're stepping in and jabbing you can see that you may be dropping your hand. Ok. As you're throwing the left hand, continuing on with the right you can that you're dropping the left hand. So, it's very important to see what you're doing. I can tell the boxers, don't drop your right hand. But when they can see it, it means that much more to them. A lot of boxers will like to jump rope in their mirror. They can actually see it helps them, they can see that they're raising their feet just at the right time by jumping in the mirror. We'd like to have mirrors all over the gym. But, mirrors can get kind of expensive. That's not really conducive. So, try to have an assortment of mirrors. Here, we have a piece of tape on the floor in front this mirror. And, one of the best things on that is the boxer can actually line his feet up in the mirror. What we like to say is, left toe on the tape right heel on the tape. And, as you can see in the mirror this helps to keep your feet lined up and give you that good stance. You can see it right in the mirror as you're advancing and as you're retracting. Ok. Thank you.
