Hi, I’m faith and I’m here at Flat Fork Studio and I’m going to show you how to use the tile nippers to round off the edges of your tile. Basically, the concept is that you’re trying to take small amounts of tile in order to kind of round your edges or get special shapes or whatever you’re doing with your, whatever shape you’re trying to go around. I’m just going to place the nipper, this is the tile nipper; and I’m just going to place the edge of it. You don’t want to try to grasp the whole thing because it might not cut very well. It cuts best if you start around close to the edge, give firm pressure, and there you go. I’ll go ahead and do one more just to show you how its done again. You come in an 8th of an inch to a quarter of an inch maximum, give firm pressure, and there’s your piece. You might also want to have a piece of sandpaper handy so that you can kind of smooth your edges off, so that they’re not so sharp. And that is how you use the handheld tile nippers to cut tile.
