Cutting Foam for a Flower Hat
Now I'm going to show you how to make a flower headdress. This isn't a mask, but it's a great project to do with the fun foam and a great costume. You need a whole sheet of the fun foam. This is a 12 inch by 18 inch sheet of fun foam. We're going to use some of this feather boa. You can use any other kind of feather or sequins or anything around the edge for decoration. I like this. We'll need a piece of elastic to hold that headdress on. A little bit of tape to cover up the staples. Stapler and scissors. Ok, you're going to use a whole sheet of the the fun foam, that's by 18 inches and this is the design you want to cut out. If you can cut it out without drawing, it makes it a lot better because you don't have those lines showing, but for demonstration purposes, I'm going to draw it out for you. And you really use the whole sheet and we're making some flower petals going all the way around and using almost the whole sheet of the fun foam. And then we'll cut that out on this line. The fun foam is really easy to cut and its also very strong and durable. For children wearing this on their head, it doesn't tear easily and it really is quite strong and it doesn't wrinkle easily. It holds its shape nicely.
