Attaching Elastic to a Clown Mask
Before we decorate our clown mask, I want to put my elastic on. I've measured the elastic to make sure that it fits the person who's going to wear it and you're going to put the elastic on the inside of the mask. This is the wrong side of the mask. And you want to staple starting from the front to the back side of the mask. Make sure that the stapler's positioned over the elastic and the front of the mask. And just check to make sure that did grab. You could put two staples there if you wanted extra strong. And then you want to make sure that you cover it up with a bit of soft tape. Electrical tape works well for this job. You want to cover that up so the staple won't be scratching the wearer of the mask. Its nice to get the elastic set on the mask before we start decorating so that we don't have to do this step once we have it all the decorations on it. Its a little bit harder once all the decorations are on the mask. And just double check. See I missed my elastic, so I'll just put one more staple in there. And that will be covered up later by the fuzzy hair and you won't see that staple at all. Now we put our tape so that its not scratching the wearer.
