Hello! My name is Maureen Browne and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we’re here today to speak in this clip a little about the cost of midwifery care. Depending on you insurance, if you have a hospital birth, some of all of your midwife care is covered. If you’re having a home birth, PPOs and HMOs offered different grades of coverage. Midwives do offer sliding scales for home births. For example, in the range of 3-5 thousand dollars in California, and this includes all of your prenatal visits, your delivery care, and all of your postpartum visits in your home.
