Drilling the Wooden Xylophone Mallet

Now we're going to drill the hole into our wooden mallet, the hammer of our wooden mallet. We're going to put it into the grip, and again, we're going to get it started with the smaller screw, right in the center, smaller drill bit. Now we don't want to go all the way through. Put on our bigger drill bit, and now we're going to go down about a centimeter. So let's look at what we've got. Here we've got our mallet, right in the center we've got a hole that goes down about a centimeter, and it should be the exact size for the dowel that we're going to use as the handle. So let's see what happens.
