Hello! My name is Maureen Browne and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we are here in this clip today to discuss what to expect from a midwife during your prenatal visits. A midwife focuses on pregnancy, labor as positive, healthy, and normal, and not something to be afraid of. She will spend individualist time and develop a relationship with you and your family. In preparation for labor she will encourage, support, and empower the mother. If you are planning a home birth, additionally, a midwife will do all of your 12-15 prenatal visits in your home and each will average about 45 minutes in length.
