What Is A Midwife?

Hi! My name is Maureen Browne and on behalf of expertvillag.com, we’re here today in this clip, to speak about what a midwife is. A midwife is a professional who works with an expectant mother in here normal pregnancy and labor. The role of a midwife continues past delivery into the postpartum period, which includes breastfeeding support and a healthy empowered transition to parenthood. In the US there are two main types of midwives: a certified nurse-midwives and licensed midwives. Licensed midwives focus on home births, while certified nurse-midwives can attend both home and hospital deliveries.
