Hi, this is Sean Hobson. Right now we're talking about man-on-man defense. We're talking about what do you do in the different positions in the man-to-man defense. Right now we're going to show you, when you're in deep help, which is considered to be the ball is all the way across the court from your man. You can see that Kyle right here is deep in defense. He's dropped low enough that when he points to the ball and he points to his man, he can look up the floor and he can see what's happening. If his man drops, he knows he's dropping because he can see him, if this guy cuts, he could see the guy cutting. He could also see if the ball is driving and he has to come out here and help. One of the major things that we're worried about with him in this defense is, what happens to his man. So what we're going to talk about right now is how to recover when this guys decides to skip the ball to the other side of the offense. The main thing is, we've got to have this guy down in a stance. He can't be standing up straight legged or he's going to have a hard time recovering. If he's down in a stance and up on the toes, then he can spring out there quickly. What he's going to do is, when the ball is skipped, he's going to sprint out at his man and he's going to do what we call a closeout. Which means he's going to sprint out to his man, he's going to shuffle his feet, he's going to have his at his ears and he's going to come out and he's going play on defense. With the type of pass that he has to throw from there to there, he can recover quickly. We're going to show you what that looks like. You can see, by the time the ball got there, he was able to run out, stutter step and he got there when the ball got there and that man's not going to hurt us from the corner. That's how to recover out of help side.
