Breaking Balls in 9 Ball Pool

In this next clip we are going to talk about the order of the break. Okay, now that you have won the lag, you could either break or you could tell your opponent to break. In 9 Ball, it's always an advantage to have the break because then you are shooting. Always have an advantage by shooting. The order of break usually goes that the winner of each game will break. Unless sometimes in tournament, in different tournaments, what you will have is that players will alternate the break no matter who's winning. There's different tournaments that have the loser, whoever's losing the game, no- whoever wins the game, the loser gets to break. And then you will also have tournaments where you have the guy who's losing the match, the whole match, will always get to break. So there's different rules for break. Let me just show you. When you break, though, you want to hit the balls really hard. And you have to hit the one ball first because that is the lowest number on the table; that is the lowest ball on the table so that is why we are hitting the one first. And we try to hit it with a good, solid break, good stroke. Let me show you. Alright, so you want to just hit it with a nice solid shot, breaking the balls up.
