In this section I'm going to be giving you a basic run-through on typical freestyle boot. The difference between freestyle boots as opposed to recreational boots and racing is the stiffness factor. A recreational boot is going to be really, really soft. It's going to be strictly for beginners. You're definitely going to want to step it up once you start learning tricks and getting a freestyle boot. And the difference between a freestyle boot and a racing boot is racing boots are really, really stiff. If you try to learn freestyle tricks on them you're just going to end up having really sore shins and really sore feet just because they're not made for doing tricks, they're made for going really fast, racing and strictly that. What we have here is your typical freestyle boot. If you'll notice right here it has four buckles that go all the way down the boot. These two latch over on the top arch of your foot, and the two buckles that are up here latch forward on the front ankle. What you want to do is go to your shop and try on a few different styles of boots. This is going to make it because every single person has a different shaped foot, and different boot companies make a different shaped boot for different styles of feet. So you want to make sure that you go on and try a few different pairs. Don't just go and pick out the ones that look really cool, not try them on in the shop. You want to try them on in the shop and make sure they're really comfortable, because in freestyle skiing you're beating up your feet so bad you want to make sure that they're comfortable without doing tricks because if you're doing tricks then if they're not comfortable first and foremost, they're not going to be comfortable when you're landing on them from hitting jumps and stuff like that. Like I said, what we have here is your typical freestyle boot. It's a four latch system. It has the buckle on top, and it has an inner liner in here. A lot of the freestyle boots, they'll mold to your feet to help for extra comfort and make it so, like I said, when you're learning freestyle tricks it's not going to hurt as bad on your feet as opposed to using a different style boot. This is your typical freestyle boot.
