How to Do Front Flips When Skydiving & Free Flying

Hi welcome to Expert Village my name is Nicholas Daniel. The front flip transition is basically a free flying maneuver. We have four position that we can start it in belly back, sit flying, and head down. We generally want to be fairly comfortable and at less three of these position before you attempt this. It is fairly easy to start out of with you want to go ahead and start with a slight upper movement. This is going prohibit any forward movement. If you were for example just start with a front flip on your belly there is a possibility that you just started doing a front movement. So in order to stop that just go start with a slight upper movement. Once you are going up just a little bit then go ahead and initiate the flip and towards your chest it is going to make a slight easier to do the transition. Use your arms and legs to fly this transition it is a lot easier to have your legs a little wider. If your knees are wider you are more stable throughout the flip. Again use your arms as well for balance. If you find yourself becoming unstable you can use them to adjust. Anticipate your desired any position and adjust accordingly. Just because you are on your belly you do not have to end on your belly. You can do a front flip transition to your back, for example, which would only be a 180 you can do 90, 270, 360, or continues front flips. If you are going to be trying out any of these maneuvers in the wind tunnel make sure you consult with the instructor before doing so. Safety is extremely important and that always have fun and be safe.
