A History of Disc Golf

The Frisbee actually just celebrated its fiftieth birthday last year. Started from pie pans and now here we have space age plastic that just goes unbelievable distances. You know in the last ten years disc golf has been growing exponentially. A lot of the Frisbees that are used today are nothing like the Frisbees that started with. A lot of the distances of I believe, the distance record ten years ago was like four hundred and seventy feet. The distance today is nine hundred and forty two feet. So, it?s a big leap in disc golf. A lot of people like to call it Frisbee golf but Frisbee is a trademark name. And, its disc golf. Or, as the kids in Montana they call it, they call it frolf. Anyways, I believe there's over three thousand courses nationally. I know its Sweden's national sport. It's huge in Japan. It's becoming a world sport. Hopefully some day we'll have an Olympic Games.
