E Minor Violin Scale: 6th Degree

Let's play our E minor melodic scale once again. First finger, second F sharp half step between G 2 and 3 half steps in the melodic scale, A natural, B natural. (playing violin) Now let's go over our sixth scale degree which is a C sharp played with the 2 on the A string. (playing violin) Remember with a sixth scale degree you always raise it in a melodic minor scale and between degrees 5 and 6 is a whole step. Because we raised that sixth degree so remember six degree C sharp and second finger A string.
