Let's play our G minor melodic scale again. (playing violin) First scale degree open G, second scale degree first degree of the scale, second scale degree is A, third half step away is B flat. Now let's talk about our fourth scale degree which is C natural, it's played with your third finger on the G string, just like this (playing violin).
