How to Prepare Coffee to Make a Double Espresso

CLANCY ROSE: Alrighty, so now what we are going to talk about is, and I am going to demonstrate, is actually grinding the coffee into the porter filter and getting the coffee prepared to brew double espresso. The first thing that I like to do is take one of your clean, dry towels that you should have on hand and wipe the inside of the basket of the porter filter. Wipe an old--any old grinds that might be in there, just cleaning that out. And you might just wipe down the porter filter as well. Then next one I am going to--what you are going to see me do is turn on the machine, with the switch on this machine is over here on the right. It is going to start grinding the coffee, flowing it into the dosing chamber. Then I am going to start pulling this lever, letting the coffee fall into the basket of the porter filter, so.
