Usually spicy it is typically labeled as Mexican but Spain and Italy have their own style of salsa as well. Guacamole is another Mexican garnish made from avocados that is created as a dip for chips or to be put on other dishes like fajitas or tacos. There are many types of both these dips and although different cultures incorporate different ingredients they always have the same base, either tomato for salsa or avocado for guacamole.
