Summary: Aikido, like other forms of martial arts mortal combat, employs weapons such as the katana sword. Mastering the use of the katana requires training with a non-lethal form of the sword called a bokken. Practicing with the bokken in Aikido is typically done with sword forms such as Ken-Gi two. Ken-Gi two, or sword form one, teaches the Aikido student important sword strikes such as the high parry, Kesa Giri, Migi Kesa Giri, spiraling abdomen cut, and spiraling throat cut.

In this free Aikido training video series, learn Aikido Ken-Gi two, or sword from two, from 5th degree Aikido black belt and United States martial arts hall of fame inductee Sensei Fred Mastison.
