Summary: While you are probably most familiar with the type of airbrushed materials you come across at a kiosk in the mall on a Saturday afternoon, the air-pressure infused compressor paint sprayer gliding over t-shirts, hats, canvas bags and a wide variety of other surfaces. Typically, the most common place to find an airbrushed work of art is at the mall or state fair, but as the art of graffiti and urban clothing design increase in popularity, we find airbrush techniques being used by a broader group of creative individuals. Likewise, a broader group of people become interested in the art of airbrushing, helping their children learn design concepts and methods for creation as well as teenage art students looking to broaden their range of abilities.

In this instructional video clip series, our expert airbrush artist will explain the basics of airbrushing techniques, including tips for adding special effects using paint and compressor guns. Learn how to outline a design, fill in the edges, center a design and use stencils to add flair and details. For the novice still deciding whether or not to invest in the equipment for self-production of airbrushed or spray painted art projects, the expert will discuss the materials and supplies needed to begin your own collection of art for personal enjoyment or business.
