This is due in part to the shorter cooking time, as well as the fact that the meat is generally juicier and moister than when prepared in a conventional oven.

Expert chef David Postada gives you step-by-step instructions on how to prepare, season and deep fry a turkey, including all the ingredients you need to make the marinade, how to use the injector, and how to apply a dry rub of Cajun spices. David demonstrates how to set up the fryer equipment, and offers tips on measuring and pouring the oil, as well as how to use a coat hanger for safely inserting and removing the turkey from the hot oil. It’s easier than it looks, and takes a lot less time than preparing your bird in the oven.
