Summary: Home education is a great alternative to public and private schooling. Prior to 1852, there was no compulsory schooling law enforced and most children received their early education at home. Throughout the history of civilization there have been movements in homeschooling and early education. The most modern movement of homeschooling began in the 1960s and 1970s when Ray and Dorothy Moore, professional education workers, began to question the validity of early education.
