Summary: Kindergarten is the first step in a child's journey of learning. Usually attended between the ages of 3-6 years old, kindergarten is where they learn to play, communicate and interact with others for the first time. It serves the purpose of training the child to be away from the parents as well as enforces ideas of friendship and camaraderie. It also allows the parents to return to their jobs during the day while their children are at school.

About the Expert

Expert: Matt Moskal is a free-lance artist with a BA in Elementary / Special Education. He has taught Kindergarten through 6th grade in the Philadelphia School District since 2003, using his own easy drawing techniques and self-made worksheets and booklets. Matt found that his students often responded more quickly and easily to his simple but very visual teaching style than to many of the conventional textbook materials and methods.
