Syrian or Golden Hamster Care

Sarah is the resident exotic animal health technician of Extra Care Animal Hospital in Davie, FL. She has been working as a technician for 7 years now, but she began working with animals over 12 years ago at the Wildlife Care Center and has worked at several animal hospitals in the South Florida and Gainesville areas. She is currently enrolled in classes to pursue her certification as a veterinary technician. She will also be going back to school in the spring to complete her bachelor's degree in biology or chemistry, after which, she will be applying to vet school. She came to our practice with Dr. Greg Rupp, and they have been working together for almost 4 years. Her "family" includes Ed, the "lhasa apso," an orange tabby named Max, a chinchilla named Pinball, an Oriental Shorthair named Charlie & 2 rabbits named Halibut and Porkchop. Her interests outside work include reading, working on cars, and playing paintball.
