Summary: A Rifle is a firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder. It's barrel is long and has a helical pattern of grooves carved into the inside of it to improve accuracy. These grooves are what distinguish rifles from the less accurate smooth bore muskets of yesteryear. An AR-15 is a lightweight, air-cooled, magazine fed, autoloading rifle. The AR-15 was developed as a lighter, 5.56 mm version of the AR-10, and along with its variants, and due to its lightweight design and versatility, it is the most widely produced and used rifle in its caliber.

In this free video series, our expert Caleb Kelly will show you how to clean and disassemble an AR-15 assault rifle. He will show you how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble the bolt, bolt carrier, and upper receiver. Caleb will also give you safety and handling tips for an AR-15, and teach you how to clear a jam and how to load a clip.
