Summary: Skateboarding is an art to some, and an extreme sport to others. And in the case of the hardflip, a combination of both. You jump straight up, flipping the board underneath you. And then you land back on top of it. Wow.

In this series of advanced skateboarding videos, our expert starts with the basics of how to stand and balance on your board, then tells you how to place your feet in order to jump. Once you can pull off the basics of this trick, he shows you how to change it up, doing a 180 hardflip, a fakie hardflip and a hardflip down a curb. About the Expert

Expert: Darin Carter is a musician, composer, poet, graphic artist, and dancer. A natural artist and poet with both a creative eye and ear for composition, he started dancing lessons at the early age of 5 and began music lessons at 8 years old. He became interested in the underground subcultures of break dancing and electronic music while in middle school. At the same time his poetry took on more fantastical themes and his art interest switched from drawing to computer generated graphics. Today Darin lives in Austin, TX and has recently completed a new CD under the pseudonym Solaris Musici.
