Summary: At a dog show, purebred dogs are graded on different points depending on their breed and class. Working dogs, for example, are graded on a different scale than the toy class or the terrier group of dogs. The most popular type of dog show is the conformation show where dogs are individually tested to see if they conform to the standards of their breed. In the American Kennel Club, a leader of dog shows in the United States, a dog needs fifteen points to become a Champion. In the UK, the Kennel Club awards a Champion title to a dog who has received three Challenge Certificates from three different judges.
