Summary: Atop everyone's wish list of must-have gadgets this year is Apple's iPhone, a multimedia device which combines the functions of a mobile phone, a web browser with email capabilities, and Apple's already wildly popular iPod. The iPhone's multi-touch screen also allows the user to access a virtual keyboard and other touch sensitive buttons without a stylus, as well as scrolling and zooming with a touch and drag motion. The iPhone also features a digital camera, text capabilities, and calling features like conferencing and caller ID which you'd find on most cell phones. The multimedia functions are similar to those of the iPod, with some differences in layout, and allow the user to listen to music and play TV, film or internet video in the landscape screen orientation.
In this series of free videos you'll learn how to navigate through the basic functions of the iPhone. Expert Matt Wallis demonstrates how to use the touchscreen interface, how to access the internet browser (to watch Expert Village videos, of course) and how to type numbers, letters and symbols quickly using the virtual keyboard. He also demonstrates how to use the always essential iPod function to play music or video from your personal collection. Undoubtedly, the iPhone is the most hyped consumer electronics product ever created, and sooner or later, you
will need to know how to use one.
