Summary: The board game Operation tests your hand-eye coordination with a serious of “operations” you must perform on the unfortunate “Cavity Sam” in an effort to out-earn your fellow doctors and specialists. Released by Milton Bradley in 1965, it is a board game which uses battery-operated, wire loop electronics to give the player a startling buzz when the Operation goes wrong. The players pull doctor and specialist cards from a stack, directing them to remove tiny plastic ailments from cavities in Sam's body with a steady hand. If the tweezers touch the sides of the cavity, the board gives a buzzing sound and making the patient's nose light up red. If the buzzer sounds, the player has lost his or her turn, and the winner is the player with the most money wins.
